Sara Carroll

History

• Biography

  Sara married her high school sweetheart early in life. She worked to help her husband, Jackson, get through law school and had a child with him, Tabitha.
  
  Things weren't great for Sara and Jackson. Jackson was a heavy drinker and could be abusive. He very rarely raised a hand to her, and never to Tabitha, but he was vocally and emotionally abusive, something that only grew worse after he became a successful lawyer.
  
  Despite all of that, Sara didn't leave him. She stuck with him, believing it was the best choice for her daughter. Ultimately, it was Jackson who left her for a younger woman. Jackson agreed to give her full custody of Tabitha, in exchange for a modest cash settlement and child support. If she didn't agree, he promised to make the divorce soul crushingly difficult.
  
  Sara agreed.
  
  Today, most of Sara's resources are put toward her precocious 8 year old daughter, who's enrolled in a private school for talented and gifted students. Sarah doesn't have enough money left over to live on, so has to re-enter the workforce with a journalism degree and 8 years taken off as a housewife.
